Recently formed, Decarbonization Strategies is a consulting company that works with building owners, developers and design teams to find ways to make buildings more cost effective, energy efficient and low carbon. Peter Rumsey, its founder, has been a leader in this sector for 40 years. He has worked on over 50 LEED platinum buildings including ground breaking projects such as the Exploratorium, the AIA Headquarters, the Craig Venter Institute Net Zero Lab, the Packard Foundation Building and Infosys’ global program to lower its energy use by 50% over its 35 million square foot portfolio of buildings. Peter is adjunct faculty at Stanford University and is the founder of the Stanford Building Decarbonization Learning Accelerator (bdla.stanford.edu).
