Exelixis

Peter Rumsey advised biotech company, Exelixis, on decarbonizing their headquarters, helping achieve LEED Gold certification through energy efficiency, HVAC, kitchen, and renewable designs, resulting in high employee satisfaction due to comfort, air quality, glare-free views, and fewer temperature complaints.

AIA

AIA

Peter’s guidance enabled AIA to renovate their headquarters in Washington, D.C., the country’s first fully decarbonized building in both operations and embodied carbon.  (completed by Peter Rumsey while at a previous firm)

NCAR

NCAR - Wyoming Supercomputing Center

Designed with no compressor based cooling, the NCAR data center uses ultra efficiency indirect evaporative cooling to provide low cost, abundant cooling to the nation’s leading supercomputer that models the global climate.  (completed by Peter Rumsey while at a previous firm)

J. Craig Venter Lab

J. Craig Venter Lab at UCSD

Designed at the nation’s first net zero energy laboratory.  The building used best in class energy efficiency and electrification strategies combined with an integrated PV system that met the building’s energy needs.  (completed by Peter Rumsey while at a previous firm)

Infosys

Infosys

Peter Rumsey guided Infosys in a program that has reduced the energy use of the 40 million SF real estate portfolio of one of India’s largest tech firms. With savings of over $200 million dollars and counting Infosys’ energy program is the most successful of any large corporation in the world.
